libfile-modified-perl software package provides module to check if files have changed, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfile-modified-perl
libfile-modified-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfile-modified-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfile-modified-perl *
You will get with libfile-modified-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
